nash has won 2 mvp's but kidd has led his team to the finals twice.

nash is a better offensive player and shooter while kidd is a better defender and rebounder. passing...well thats a toss up.

writers at espn has kidd ranked @ #7 all time best PG while they have nash at #10.

my personal opinion is that kidd is better mainly b/c he's been playing at a higher level for a longer amount of time.

ur thoughts?

tha'ts a tough one. kidd led new jersey twice to the nba finals. nash has 2 mvp awards, although i still believe that kidd deserved the mvp award more than tim duncan back in 2002. nash is not only a great passer but an excellent shooter but is a liability on defense. kidd gives out triple double effort every night but still lacks a dependable jump shot. hmmmm....... kidd gets my vote since he has never been around a lot of talents on all 3 teams he's played for and yet still able to make his team better.

both are fantastic players....nash has indeed won 2 MVP awards, but we also need to remember that the 2 years Kidd led the Nets the Finals, he was an MVP candidate.

i give my nod to Kidd. Both players make their teams better and we can argue that Nash is a much better shooter and possibly clutch shooter then Kidd. Despite this, Kidd does the other things. Kidd is stonger and more adept to playing physical defence. hes also a triple double threat while shooting reasonably well. Kidd isnt a dominant shooter, but he does get streaky like we've seen at times this season.

both make their teams better. nash is a better clutch shooter, kidd is just as good in the clutch making the right pass. kidd does more when we take into consideration steals and rebounds.

it would be interesting to see Kidd runnin the show over in Phoenix and Nash in Jersey!!!

Being as sports is more of a "what have you done for me lately" kind of venue, I'd say Steve Nash will. Jason Kidd has the unfortunate luck of being on a bad team at this point in his career. Plus, Nash is more of a scorer.

However, there will never be a more well-rounded PG than Kidd...he puts up a triple double almost every night.

I think Nash still has 3 really good years ahead of him. In each of those, you have to figure the Suns will be contenders and it wouldn't be surprising to see him pick up another MVP or two. On the other hand, Kidd's legacy has already been defined and his stock isn't exactly rising while playing for the Nets.

A point guard is almost like the quarterback of a basketball team. Niether of them has a ring, but Jason Kidd has been to the NBA finals. Nash plays on a better offensive team, so of course his numbers will be better. Kidd plays better defense. I think Kidd has a slight edge over Nash.

Steve Nash is a better player. Yes Kidd has taken his team to the finals twice but he could never pull off the big win. I think Nash will very soon and Nash has lead the Suns a long way, there have just been some injuries to Stodamire and some other players that have really hurt that team.

I would want to think that Jason Kidd is a beter point guard. J. Kidd has went to the finals twice. However, S. Nash is a better shooter than J.Kidd. But J. Kidd gets the vote with the better point guard.

Kidd is a extra finished participant. He does each thing and definitely performs protection. Nash would not even attempt to gaurd his guy. Nash performs with Amare, Shawn Marion, Boris Diaw, Lehandro Barbosa, Raja Bell, etc. Nash performs with Carter and Jefferson. Nash has a extra robust suppporting forged. Nash gets extra assists because of the gadget the Suns play in. Thay play in a run and gun type Nash gets many, many, oppurtunities for assists and photos. The Nets additionally play in a slower gadget, giving Kidd much less possibilities for stats, yet Kidd nevertheless places up 15, 8, 10 a interest. although, Kidd making it to the finals two times became very deceptive. The East became certainly undesirable those years. Nash has had to deal with the Spurs, the Mavs, and different super communities. Kidd is in basic terms a million inch taller than Nash, yet his all-around interest makes him a extra robust participant. Kidd.

Steve Nash. Unlike Kidd, Nash averages around 20 ppg and 11 apg over the last three or four years.

Both extremely talented. I think Steve Nash is a better point guard. He's a great shooter, and creates oppurtunities for his teammates. However, I think kidd will go down in history as better because he went to the finals twice.,

I like almost all parts of Jason Kidd's game, except his shooting stroke. Steve Nash is a better shooter and almost as good a passer. My pick is Nash, but just barely.
