No.
What are you talking about?
Zero is even.
Look at a number line.

Hi!!!
To tell you the truth, I don't even know why I'm answering this question???
I guess out of confusion, of knowing so many people that are good in Math, keep considering 0 = 2 * 0, or if is even or odd???
If 0 = 2 * 0 ???? Then why is zero always taught to be .....
nothing???? Which is zero???
Now let me see??? since forever, the number zero means that there is nothing, to take away or to add!!!!
Which makes the number "ZERO", neither odd or even???
So what kind of number should ZERO be???
It should be what it is!!! A "NEUTRAL" number, in which it could be use conveniently to the advantage of either an odd or even number!!!
If considering the reality of the "ZERO", as be the nothing!!!
Then how could NOTHING be SOMETHING????
how could 0 = 2 *0 ????????????????
Because obviously, if we take another number, let's say "ONE" 1, could this number be 4 * 0???
Oh well but that is just me thinking, every number that we add that has a zero should be another number from the perspective that 0 = 2* 0
???????????????????????????????????????????????
Thank goodness that I am an even "ONE"!!!! Good luck!!!

A number n is considered odd if n = 2k + 1 for some integer k. It is considered even if n = 2k for some integer k.
0 is even because 0 = 2 * 0.

I am stumped why anyone would think that there is something to debate here. Even numbers are defined as 2n for all n in the integers.
So, ignore the supposed debate and go see "The 300." You'll be glad you did.

There is no debate. Zero is even, and that is the end of it. All mathematicians agree on this.

I can ask the same thing about why there is a debate about
0.999(repeating) equality with 1. Unfortunately, that debate's proved that nobody will change their mind no matter what.

Yeah, why can't zero just be zero? If you stray even by the smallest percentage in either direction then you can label it but if zero is postioned at exactly zero then it's neither odd nor even.

i think that zero is primarily considered neither odd nor even...it is just zero...it has no odd or evenness
