The media in general has too much bias. There is rarely a reporter who just reports the news and allows both the liberal and conservative views have equal time so the viewer, listener, or reader can get the story from both sides and make up their mind. If the news consumer wants both sides they have to go to several sources and most don't have time for that. Bias in news reporting has gone way overboard to the point that other than the local news, I rarely turn it on. The problem is that both views have their fans and they prefer news with a bias toward their beliefs. As long as the news outlets have viewers and can maintain their tv ratings nothing will change. Each news outlet caters to their fan base instead of just reporting the news without bias to either side.

We the people changed the national media If Fox news didn't make money doing sensational surface reportage then they would change. When the super market rags sell more copies than the New York times or The Washington Post we have said in essence we don't care. This type of change takes voting with your time and money. Read newspapers, watch unbiased news coverage, vote on election days. I do not see this happening. We continue to become more polarized making for left or right TV news and Left or right print media. the balance could be achieved by reading all of it but it becomes increasingly obvious viewership and readership pandering to one side or the other is the only information people seek. This creates the current level of distrust we have and the gotcha politics that are rampant in America.

If you want to see how biased and unobjective American media has become, get your news from some foreign sources for a month and do not look at ANY American media, even the evening news. Look to sources like BBCWorld, Channel NewsAsia, NHK and Deutsche Welle. You will get an idea of what honest reporting is all about. If you want bullsh**, watch ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc.

I doubt it. Our founders needed an autonomous media that replaced into made up of many autonomous non-controllable viewpoints from diverse demographics. They believed in a fourth materials that served the persons and served to watchdog government and corruption and agency. They favourite a media with extra of an opposed relationship with government and particularly we've ended up with a company media government partnership owned by skill of a relative few those with uncomplicated pastimes. The neutering of our media as a watchdog began in earnest with the Reagan administration and keeps on by R and D administrations. It makes no distinction. the two events are beholden and culpable. They inspired media "corporatization" and consolidation or maybe enable foreign places possession (Rupert Murdock). in the back of all of it have been the elite government and agency pastimes that needed the media hushed and extra controllable and serving as their best buddy and significant different somewhat of whistle blower. somewhat of being completely purpose and impartial to u . s . a . pastimes our media right this moment hardly, if ever, comments on themes that must be embarrassing to different pastimes including Israel. Our media right this moment has a everyday schedule different than for income, and that's to maintain the hundreds and US people uninformed and unaware of what's somewhat occurring in politics and against our nationwide pastimes, and particularly furnish conceal and canopy-up for the politicians including their force to rigidity the u . s . a . into high priced absurd wars.

The media is a private enterprise. The only reason many media outlets are serving political agendas is because they are being well-paid by political parties.

Choose which outlets you watch & buy. The only place they feel anything is in their wallets.
If you think the main stream press is a puppet of this administration, I'd like to know what you are smoking.

Boycott all media for a year. That would get their attention (as well as all the companies that advertise with them) and they might change the way to report things.

You mean "puppets of the liberals," right? They've been so liberal for so long, I don't think we can change them to be objective.
