F(x) = -x^2 +6x+1(do I change the signs to get rid of the negative in the front?)
x^2-6x-1
vertex formual is x = h, y = k
h=-b/2(a)
h= --6/2(-1)
h=6/2=3
so replace all of the x's with 3
3^2-6(3)-1
9-18-1
9-19
=-10
why does the book say it is 10
maybe I shouldn't have switched signs?
ohhhhh help please
