I would combine feedback from parents and friends and come up with ideas appealing to all. You will have a better time if your guests and parents are happy with it.

Rent a the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and have a 'Pirates' costume party. Guests should make their own costumes out of whatever they can find at home, the purpose is that that most creative costume wins a small prize. You can find little party favors that are in pirate theme and have a great time. Make it a sleepover while you are at. Happy Birthday!

well, what are you interested in...find something that you love to do, if you can find something you like you can create decorations, like rollerblading. even if you can't find decorations you can always go to a roller rink. that's something that both guys and girls enjoy. trust me. by glow in the dark stuff if you do something like that. black light parties are fun too though.

How about a pool party? They might do them at your local swimming pool. I always wanted one of those when I was your age! :o)
