No and yes. The movie "300" is based on the graphic novel written by Frank Miller which in turn was inspired by the movie "The 300 Spartans" that came out in the 60's which is based on the actual event. The story presented in "300" has been diluted and somethings have been altered. It is not an fully accurate representation of the Battle of Thermopylae.

Yes it is based on the true story of the spartans leading a great greek army to fight the persians but dont know if the actuall 300 fight and battle thats in the movie is true.

Yes, and no. The movie is based on a comic book that is based on the battle. The movie is not historically accurate on many points, such as buildings, wall size, tactics and other a items, to make it more exciting to watch, so really the movie should be viewed more as a moving graphic novel than a documentary.

Yes it is based on historical facts. Minus the giant 10 story elephants they threw in there for fun. Good movie worth the money to see in theatre. 5 out 5.

This is true history but they make Iranian King such as African and he surgery his head and he is like evil.If you check his picture in engraving on wall you will find a flower in his hands.He command to people arround to have flowers everyday in their hands because it brings peace for people.One of the other things he is only person give chance to women to be manager of group of man.When you review past you will find very sophesticated person with sophesticated ideas.
