i am trying to connect using remote desktop to another computer and the computer name is not goin through. So i want to try the IP address.

1: start button
2: run
3. when that black DOS box opens, type "ipconfig"
4. press enter
5. the ip address will show up

click start >run type cmd in the command window type ipconfig press return you'll see your ip address but that will change every time you log on or off

go to command prmpt and type in "ipconfig" then press enter. Your IP adress should pop out now...
