I dunno, I hit 88mph in my VW bus and I've been stuck in the year 2080. We are in WW IV and the Chinese have taken over everything.

Dont know what is wrong with your flux capacitor without seeing it for myself or how large it is. But i have found that placing it under the passenger seat is a great place just like some people do with their amp. If the capacitor is broken well, thats another story. I have 'seen' on a few that the magnetic rails to move the electrons from one energy cell to the other towards the center sometimes misaligned so you may have to readjust it. Sometimes i've seen where people have miswired the darn thing and had the capacitor blow up in their face! So you may wanna watch out for that. Because the it is a sensitive device, it may have been damaged from shipping and on of the legs could have been dented or mishaped somehow so now your geometry is off so just send it back to E. Brown and associates and have them bang out all the dings.

It consists of a box with three small, flashing incandescent lamps arranged as a "Y", located above and behind the passenger's seat of the time machine. As the car nears 88 miles per hour, the light of the flux capacitor pulses faster until it has a steady stream of light. The stainless steel body of the DeLorean also has a beneficial effect on the "flux dispersal" as the capacitor activates.
It would be a complete unit. I would suggest removing and replacing it. Look on ebay.

It needs to be installed under the chassis, reaching from the engine almost to the trunk. Very careful when installing it, so you don't get any scratches or oil on it, as that will short it out, and will make it unusable... ;-)
