I enjoy them both. A day in the life is my favorite. It's one song they both do together and you can really see the differences between the two.

Yesterday was one of McCartney's most amazing songs. In My Life is another one that I think was mostly Lennon, but it was amazing as well. This kind of gets into Paul's old debate about getting the names switched. Hey Jude was a great song and it was pretty much all Paul, so why should the books say "Lennon"? That's an argument for another day, though.

However Absurd by Paul is a great song, the trouble is that some of the great ballady songs with some abstract lyrics such as the mentioned song written by Paul are album tracks and therefore many people do not know them. You cannot compare the two like for like on just their singles.

Lennon ,Mc Cartney was a musical collaboration. The actual writer of the song was often left to the "IMAGINE" -ation of the listener......When the group broke up in the latter part of the 60's and John and Paul began writing their own uncollaborative songs it was apparent who was the better writer.......
Lennon's demise was a trajedy but his music will live on........

i love nearly all the beatles songs my fav mccartney one was band on the run i love it starting so slow then picking up.
