breath. seriously, if you kinda whisper the lyrics or sing like you're trying to be quiet you will naturally sing softer and then you can go on to sing louder but softer. Listen to jewels "who will save your soul" or sarah mclaughlin "arms of the angel" to get a better idea of what I'm trying to say.

Your no longer terrible, yet your no longer the perfect. The pitch and music became off, the beat of the music all round sucked (No offense) and also you've a reliable set of lungs on you, yet you want to artwork on your guitar. The words didnt tournament the music, you've been playing too quick and making a music too sluggish. Im no longer attempting to be rude, only trustworthy. and also you are able to in no way get everywhere in existence without trustworthy critism.

when you sing , think of the lyrics and what you are singing.feel it sing like you really believe what you are doing,
that is the secret to a good vocalist and open your mouth really wide while doing so , practise in front of a mirror , as if you are singing to someone you love

Drink water before you sing, and when your not singing. It keeps your throat in good condition. when you want to sing softly, exhale more with each note, and sing more quietly.
