I have this dress that is black with off-white dots and detailing. It is sort of "springy." I live in Texas and it was in the high 80's today. Do you think I can wear the dress to dinner tonight?

sounds fine to me. you might also want a cardigan sweater to wear over it if it gets cool at night.
