There will be a 6-speed automatic coming out for the all new Silverado, but probably not until the 2008 model year.

Well the 5.3 has been hooked up to automatics only since they come out in 1999 models. Maybe someday, if we keep a good thought Chevy will wise up and give us a manual transmission option but from the literature I have on the 2007's it doesn't appear to be available yet with the 5.3.

I have heard it might be next year. I saw this in a magazine so I don't know if it will be true but it seems likely.
