my body feels really hot, ive tried laying down with the fan blowing on me, with a cold wash cloth on my forehead, im not running any kind of fever, im actually at 98.0, but nothing i seem to do makes me feel any cooler, i cant stand feeling hot!
what can i do? i want to try a cold shower, but i dont want to drop my temp. any more, beacause i dont want to do anything that will hurt my baby, ive heard this could be a sign of labor? anybody agree

I agree with everyone else....no cold showers. It will just make you hot again when you get out, anyway. Wet hair makes you hotter in the long run!!

Drink ice water...get in front of a fan....eat something SPICY HOT (like buffalo wings or similar)...that seemed to work for me back in the day! Even something tempurature hot may do the trick!!

It will be over soon....and you will have this wonderful baby. It's a short-term misery with a great reward at the end of it all!!

Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

your due march 13th? I am =D
im having a boy and ive been so hott the last week i cant stand it. but im in the same boat you are, nothing seems to help at all. I called my doctor about it today and she said to go to the dollar store or a store like cvs and buy one of those gel eye masks that you can put in the freezer or under hot water. So she said to get one of those and put it in the freezer for a half hour and then put it on the back of your neck. So i'll be trying that tonight. If you cant get one of those then wet a face cloth and put it in the freezer. Let me know how it goes! are you having a boy or a girl? if you want to talk you can email me at halfLaydee_halfThug@yahoo.com

I've been dying of heat stroke for about 3 days now (ok, I'm exagerating a bit). I'm glad it's not just me lol. It's probably kind of like what women in menopause go through because of their hormones. Yet another thing to grin and bear(bare?).

I asked my doctor about it last week, and she said it isn't. It's HORMONES, and we're full of them right now.

Sucks, doesn't it?

Stay under the fan, no cold showers, drink ice water to stay hydrated, and sweat like crazy. That's about all we can do.
