death please! i get kind of claustrophobic, immortality is being trapped in the same body forever, sounds scary to me!

I would choose immortality. What I enjoy most about life is learning new things, discovering new things and mastering new things. The world is always changing and I think there would always be something new to discover.
Few people want to die. It's not like 80 or so years is an 'optimal' time to live. I don't see why most people would ever get sick of living. Those that take their own lives perhaps, but maybe if they were immortal, they wouldn't have the same perspective.
Interesting question. Not original, but interesting.

I would choose death, because the world will come to an end some day. Since all stars, like the sun, get old and combust, its surrounds will change. those surroundings include our earth. If we have no sun, no life. So, even if you had immortality, I would choose death so to escape the future pains.

Death. Immortality would mean living on and on while witnessing all the continuous changes in the world which aren't looking too good right now. Not to mention knowing people growing older and dying around you. The mere thought of that constant pain is enough. Especially those you grow to love.

Immortality would be an incredibly interesting option. Not much to worry about. And you get to watch the world go by and change. I wish I could have seen the last few centuries go by first hand.

honestly i think i would choose death. i know that God gave me a life as a gift and choosing death is like throwing that gift a way but i just can stand life. i try to make the best out of it and yet i'm pressured into doing things i don't want to and i'm being made fun of. i get excluded not because of my personality but because of my race. anyways immortality would get boring

death of course, the whole purpose to life is that theres a beginning and an ending...besides, who would want to live forever in this kind of world? now, if it were paradise then maybe people would choose immortality.

Since I am already going to die. I guess I would choose immortality. Unless I am a vampire or a flesh eating Zombie then I would say no

Hard to say. Earth wont live forever. If humans dont discover a means for mass space travel, then your immortal butt will eventually end up floating in space for all eternity!
