Ok black people are really good at sports. Have you ever thought of why. Well I have a close black friend and we have decused it and came up with this.
when you raise livestock or breed anything you always want to breed the best with the best. and get better so slaves obiously were done the same way right
what do you think?

You can breed your own livestock any way you want but you can't tell people to breed the way you like. Can you control people and tell people how to live their love life? Humans and animals are different. And how do you propose we should breed the hispanic people (I guess it from your name)? What can you do besides posting questions that draw a very thin line between a racist question and a stupid question?

I'm not sure. Though there was some control over slaves and who they had their children with, I don't think stronger ones were paired together to promote stronger future generations. Livestock will instinctually mate with almost any other member of the opposite sex, especially if they're forced together. There's more to it for humans.
Don't worry, I don't think you're racist and I think you bring up a valid point for a question a lot of people have. You can't deny that blacks are overrepresented in many professional sports. But, I think it has more to do with the social aspect, not the biological aspect.

I think your reasoning may very faulty. first if your data base was only of slaves - most slaves were used for hard labor not sports and without historical back up for the breeding aspect - your statistics will be flawed.
if you think beyond this particular box- (which i think is actually a data trap) the more plausible possiblity is that sports was one of the first venues that accepted blacks into primarily white society- as a result- sports were seen as an escape from poverty and oppression and began to tip the percieved balance in the sports venues.
Now many see sports as a Black venue but in actual statitistics am not sure if that is correct. (admittedly I am not a statistician)

Although there is some merit to your idea consider this:
1The fastest guy is not always the best athlete (lots
of guys of varied race can out run Jerry Rice and Emmitt
Smith both hall of famers)
2 Culturally in the black community sports is held in higher regard so more kids participate similar to what is happening
in Europe (basketball ) and Latin America (baseball)
3Cultural bias I think alot of young athletes have started
to believe they cannot complete because of their race (ie See
what Jeremy Warner and Dat Nguyen had to deal with

This is bull, we have had nearly 150 years of choosing our own mates, how many generations of people is that?
Maybe there are lots of good black athletes because it has been seen as a ticket out of poverty to the exclusion of other thing so lots of black men spend lots of time on athletics and some of them become outstanding.
You may not be racist, but this idea is racist.

no thats really sterotypical not all african-american people are good at sports as an african-american myself my idealsport would be basketball, but i'm not that good at it. Just like any culture Sports is apart of our culture it's what we do when we are bored or to socialize with others. usually kids will start to play sports when they are 3 years old. and some choose to follow the tradition and pursue in athlectic sport and some like myself choose the educational route. either way the reason so many african americans excel at sports its becuase its apart our culture and its also something positive for kids to do to stay out of trouble and parents realize if there kid is really talented at it that they push them to become better so maybe they can get a scholarship .
