Greek language was also spoken in north africa and asia becouse even though Alexander died early his successors continued to rule his lands who also spread greek culture. arabic language has some greek words as a prove of this.

some people dont even know what they are talking about. Greece is not an Empire but a place. well then Rome isnt as well, its just a city. how about Britain, Britain is probably just an island not a nation.

when i say greece, i mean ehelnic civilization becouse they are the same people, so it dosent matter which kingdom or city state expanded, it was the same civilization. when i say british i am talking about Scotland and northern Ireland too, i am not just talking about England. so i guess you could say the Macedonia is one of the kingdoms of the Helenic civilizations.

some idiot above stated that Alexanders empire was not greek but macedonian.. its hard to even begin to deal with the falacies of that statement. However in his ignorance he did make a good point (probably by accident) that Greece was not really an empire in the way that Rome or Britain were..however you CAN theoriticaly talk about the Eastern Roman/ Byzantine empire as a Greek Empire in which case i would say it probably was the greatest empire simply due to its longevity. It lasted for almost a thousand years. Rome lasted only 600 and Britain.. singificantly less than that.

Could you specify which Greece you are talking about because there is a lot of confusion. If you mean ancient Greece we cannot really talk about empire. but if you talk about the Eastern Half of the Roman Empire after the fall of Rome.. then we infact talk about one ofhte longest lasting empires in human history.

Really Macedonians should stop trying to include themselves in every possible conversation. Your hisotry begins in the 9th Century AD. if you want to talk about "Macedonians" Prior to that I suggest you look in the steps of Russia

The Greeks never had an Empire as such. The empires of the diadochi were a different ball game.
For stability and duration it would have to be the Romans.
Roman and British are more or less on a par with regard to infrastructure, but Britain would lead in schools and hospitals.
For decent treatment and respect for human rights, Britain wins by a country mile. What is the suppression of the Slave Trade if it isn't protecting human rights? The best proof of what I'm saying is the way the Empire was given back. The people wouldn't have wanted their independence so soon if they hadn't learnt from British values.
British administration was also far less corrupt than Roman.

Ancient Greece is a period in Greek history that lasted for around three thousand years. It is generally considered to be the seminal culture which provided the foundation of Western Civilization. Greek culture had a powerful influence on the Roman Empire, which carried a version of it to many parts of Europe. The civilization of the ancient Greeks has been immensely influential on the language, politics, educational systems, philosophy, science, and arts, giving rise to the Renaissance in Western Europe and again resurgent during various neo-Classical revivals in 18th and 19th century Europe and the Americas.
As for the english language (stated in another answer) you should know that a lot of words are Greek or Latin (roman) in origin. (pedia, anthropology ,cardiology ,school , stadium, history , epic etc. )
I have to say Greece because it was the first and the others followed taking a lot of things from the traditions, beliefs, knowlegde and relligion of Greece. Romans believed to the same gods ,built almost the same structures...

Aside from your poor spelling and grammar, my answer would be none of the above because every one exploited the areas they conquered. The Greeks did export our basic ideas of Democracy. The Romans advanced a certain amount of science and technology (though the Greeks were not lacking in that category) and the British spread the English language which is the standard for intercontinental air transportation. Other than that, what else did the British leave behind? Next time, click that little icon that stands for spell-check and pretend to be intelligent.

Well, first Greece was not an empire, Greece was just a geographic area with Cities state , the only "empire " you can consider is Alexander Empire but he was not Greek was Macedonian and his "empire" didn't survive him. Rome has been the greatest empire in history, many of our laws are based on Roman law , European languages are influenced by the Latin , some of them like , Spanish, french , Italian, Catalan, Portuguese, etc.. have a 90% Latin roots.
The philosophy , economy, religion are still influenced by facts developed during the roman empire.
Romans helped to developed infrastructures in the countries they conquered , buildings , roads, etc...
The British just went to places to steel from them not living anything behind, see the examples of , India, Several African countries, they didn't even mix with people from those countries .

My choice would be Britain. Rome and Greece were not that special compare to other ancient empires (Han, Persia...). Since they built the foundation of their civilization just as Rome and Greece did. But Britain was special. It built the modern world we know, and even US today cannot be compared to it.

Some people would say we owe Rome and Greece priceless achievement...but it is true only for white people. But what Britain accomplished changed the whole world, not just their colony but also their enemies too

Greece.
They started from scratch and turned a piece of trash into a beautiful empire. They were the earliest civilization mentioned. All the other civilizations had another great empire they conquered to copy off of. The Greeks were nomads that settled into an area and became great.

All empires have contributed greatly to history. I would choose the British Empire. I feel that britian is the main reason why English is the standard language of business, not Italian or Greek.
