Computer, man, computer. Computer clock your entry time and your exit time through your vehicle IU and if within the grace period, you have a free exit.

So do you suspect people are in all the entry and exit points and pushing buttons to let you out?

In Singapore, the drivers commonly use a card termed as "cash card".

NETS CashCard is a stored-value card that can be used for just about any transaction, from buying your groceries to paying for your library fines.

Although most commonly used for Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) payments and car park fees, your NETS CashCard can also be used at retail stores, supermarkets, libraries, and AXS stations islandwide. Everywhere you go, NETS has you covered!

As with making payments, topping up your card, too, is highly convenient. You can do this at any ATM, BP or AXS station, Shell Select Store, Standard Chartered auto-lobby or 7-Eleven store.
