What kinds of things can you stick inside gel candles? I want to make a chile pepper gel candle and was thinking maybe making it out of playdough and letting it harden and sticking it in there, but I don't know if that'd be flammable? Basically, does anyone have any interesting ideas on making a chile pepper gel candle?

Walmart has some real looking fake chili peppers that would work. The play-doh wouldn't stay hard. The moisture from the gel would reconstitute the play-doh and make a gooey mess.

How about real dried chile peppers? Or do them in polymer clay, because play-do doesn't really harden enough.

http://www.orientaltrading.com has small chili peppers that could be used in candles. You might also look in the party stores (Party City) for the different types of metallic confetti designs they offer.
