Pregnancy is not the only thing that causes nipple discharge like these people think. There are many thing that can cause it even irritation from clothing. I have personally had it from birth control pills. Please read the link that will give more info on the subject. It will help you determine the cause. It does state that opalescent discharge that is yellow or green in color is normal.

Just in response to jwjkrjst. I was on the pills for 5 years before it did it. So they weren't too strong. So please don't respond to something you know nothing about.

Not unless you just had a baby - you should go get that checked out by your GYN and maybe have a mammogram done to make sure you are OK.

In response to skybl below - yes the reasons we discharge can be for no big reason, but when you are talking about yellow and green discharge, there is also a chance it could be something ranging from an infection to cancer. You stated that you have it from your birth control pills which means that you were on too strong a pill -- because it caused too strong of a hormonal change in you. So therefore I stand by my statement, that Breast discharge is NOT normal and When it comes to Breast issues, it is ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry!

That is not normal. If I were you, I'd go see my doctor immediately. Chances are it is nothing, but if there is something it is better to catch it in the beginning-easier to treat. They will most likely prescribe you an antibiotic and te discharge should be gone in a few weeks. But when you talk to him/her, make sure you don't leave out any minor detail.
Hope I helped!!

Did you have a baby recently, or are you currently pregnant? You may just be lactating, if this is a painful or if its becomming a common occurance, go to your doctor or a walk in clinic and get it checked out
