Well, Marx defined communism as everybody getting an equal share and working together to make the country better for each other.
When it's tried, you get a dictator who tells everybody what to do, and abuses it's people, and an economy that cannot afford basic necessities for it's people.

Communally owned resources and property. People work together for the good of the community (country, state). Common good, common wealth. Everything shared. Collectivism.
You will be assimilated.

Total Government control of the economy. Socialism is partial government control of the economy. Both lead to Police States, as we're finding out. Socialized Education has created a population that can't read, count, or see through the government's attempts to impose both police and nanny states upon us.

Most would say dictatorship. that is wrong. It is socialism, which has never accually existed. Russia had Stalinisim, China has Maoisim. both are authoritarian forms of government that are not communist.
