I have heard that lemons help but you might want to consult your Dr.
You can eat tums, or chew gum. Don't drink PEPTO bismol though its really bad for the baby.
I am 8 weeks and I chew gum and eat tums a lot.
Good luck

You may need to sleep sitting up propped against your pillows. Believe me, it reaches a point where you're so tired you won't care...
Avoid acidic foods (citrus, chocolate, tea, tomato sauce)
Drink a lot of water with your meals... I'd recommend 8 oz before you eat and 8 oz after to keep things moving
Wait at least 2 hours after you eat before laying down (maybe more, depending on how quickly you digest food)
Foods higher in fat take longer to digest, so don't eat anything really fattening for supper
Over-the-counter Zantac is safe to take during pregnancy, and works really well on heartburn. I've found it's equally effective if you use it to prevent heartburn or stop it after it starts.
Milk helps if you can't get the acid to stop. It will coat your stomach.

I'll explain it the way my doctor did. The uterus is constantly pushing on your stomach. That's why it's happening now. The dr. said that one thing that he found other than medicine that works in almost all womem is drinking BEFORE you eat. That way the liquid is absorbed, then letting your food settle. If you drink after you eat the liquid sits on top of the food and is more likely to result in reflux. After hearing that it actually made since! For medicine (I'd just call and ask your doctor/nurse first before taking anything) with my first pregnancy Zantac worked best. Well with this one Zantac doesn't even touch it! I found the store brand Pepcid AC works best. It's just touch and go. Much, much luck and I hope it resides soon!

This is going to sound crazy, but my dad has acid reflux and his naturepath recommended eating dill pickles. Sounds like, yeah right, thats the last thing you need right? Well, if your acid reflux is the right kind, its EXACTLY what you need. Give it a shot. Its a cheap, easy, fast, drug-free fix!

Take tums. also eating bread or dry toast will help a lot. Keep drinking lots of water and talk to your doctor about it at your next appointment. If it doesnt get any better after trying this for a while you can call your doctors office and tell them you have been doing this but it wont help. In some cases of being really really bad they can perscribe you somthing.

Well calcium carbonate (tums) is perfectly safe (in reasonable doses).
Also try papaya extract available at health food stores. It regulates acid production rather than just treating the acid after it is made.
And try drinking your water at room temp.

I used to drink a lot of Maalox when I was pregnant. But your case sounds a lot worse than mine was. Call your doctor and see if he/she can prescribe something or recommend something over the counter.
