Probably true - - but don't forget that a curse is just words and all the power of those words rests in whether or not the person believes there is a curse or power to those words.. good voo doo can negate a curse with a positive affirmation, but just remember - - its only words.. like Spanky is just a name..

The Philippines has it share of witchcraft and the supernatural. Tribal folklore's and beliefs combined with Catholicism has produced the same mysticism in the Caribbean islands. Filipinos are still superstitious especially in the rural areas. Faith healers and the "Ambularyo" or the local medicine man are still around providing answers to common ailments and other mystic questions.

Philippines is more known for its Faith Healers than voodoo witches. I have gone to a lot of provinces in the country from Luzon to Mindanao, even went to the hinterlands but never had the luck (?????? hehehe) to meet anybody with such black magic powers.

They (faith healers) heal, and the patients (a lot of whom are foreigners) mostly got healed on the strength of their faith in the good that will be done to them.
