Everytime i wear ear rings even for a split secound and not even tight my ears get really red and hurt really bad. I love earrings and I would like to wear them but it hurts so much any ideas on what to do?

I stopped wearing earrings for that same reason. If I do wear them it's for a special occasion only and I take them out right after. I never wear them on a daily basis. It might have something to do with what the posts are made of, but I swear some of them have solid gold posts!

I have the same problem. Buy the ones that say hypo allergenic and nickel free. I am allergic to the metals in earings and the buttons on pants. I started buy the sentive ear ones and now I don't have any problems. I can also stand to wear the ones not made for sensitive ears for a little while now too.

Wear gold earrings only real gold those dont irritate the ear and put some mosturizer on your ear before wearing earrings

My best friend can not wear any earrings none what so ever. Even the expensive kind. She breaks out really bad. They hurt too.

If you can't afford to buy different grades of gold and silver to test your allergy.. perhaps you can go to a boutique and ask for the clear plastic sleeves that go over the earring post. I used them before and they are quite thin and you can still put on your earring like normal.

I get this sometimes too - reddening & pain in the ear.
If you got some of the healing cream or oil left from when you pierced your ears [your piercer should have given you some], use that on the affected area.
Also, always use gold earrings or sterling silver

You might be allergic to nickel or other metals in cheaper earrings. Most likely youll be fine if yoiu wear sterling silver or gold earrings.

You are allergic to nickel. Don't wear cheap earrings. Wear gold or silver earrings.

I can only wear earings that are silver. Buy some expensive earings and wear those.

I have the same problem and have tried everthing but my husband likes my ear unadorned so :) I don't worry about it. Wear an ankle bracelet inside. It's sexier anyway
