Life is meant to go on and to that end humans need to mate. Therefore there has to be a way of attracting. It's left over from a more animalistic time.
I don't think women are as simplistic (or maybe just not as obvious) as men! LOL. For me it was the eyes. (been married so long it's hard to remember!)

Butt=close to vagina=sex=reproductive=the biological reason we exist.
According to what I remember of what I believe is called Morris' theory, something that sets us apart from other monkeys is that we have sex face to face, so breasts and lips evolved to look more like a woman's reproductive bits. My evolutionary explanation there is really stunted, but it serves the purpose.

I think at some deep level the man is measuring the size of the cervix for baby making. He is assessing her ability to be a mother with milk production. At an infantile level the man may be attracted to breasts because they nourished him. At the practical level he may want some cushioning in the right places.
Also gender insecurity is a large part of being male and having a women with distinct gender identifying marks may make him feel more secure, possibly boosting his position in the male hierarchy.

Well, in the ways of evolution, I can think of two things:
1) Breats and butts are sexual areas for women, and if the man can please the woman, then the woman might stick around to produce more offspring.
2) More fat reserves means that the woman has been doing well off in the hunting/foraging industry, and her offspring (and thus the man's) are more likely to do as well, passing on their genes to the next generation.
3) There is a strong connection formed when breastfeeding, and men might stil retain that connection. And - larger breasts means possibly more milk and nutrients for offspring.
Both are obselete in today's "civilized" society, but evolution hasn't kept up that fast. :-)

Guys grow up in a "clothed world." If everyone ran around naked, I doubt they would have a desire for those sexual features. The preference would still be there, just not as strong.
As they grow older, a certain behavior is imposed on them. They are taught not to touch those parts. They learn by what they see around them too. It's also reinforced by "enculturation agents" which can be parents, classmates, teachers and other models.

It's instinct for sure. It is more difficult to not look than it is look . Nothing makes me happier than a nice rack . Some of us prefer breast and some prefer butts. Some like blondes and some like red heads .
As far as womens preference, not really my bussiness .
