Aquaphor Healing Ointment is the best multi-purpose drugstore product. It seems to sink into lips. It's economical and works really well.
Neosporin Lip Treatment is pretty soothing.
Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 is the best dept./boutique brand I've tried.
Plain vaseline is okay.
Avoid products w/ salicylic acid, mint, or camphor.

Use an oil, like Sweet Almond Oil at night and rub your lips against one another to make sure they absorb all the moisture. When your lips get that horrible crispy feeling, with all the dead dry skin, get a clean toothbrush and brush your lips gently (no toothpaste though!). This will remove the dry skin and also plump up and redden your lips! A 2-in-1 trick!
For the day, I use a lipsalve from Boots, that's strawberry flavour. Nivea is also very good. I also have a 2 in 1 lip care and gloss from Boots, it comes in a small tube and is about 2 pounds, it contains cocoa butter and therefore really moisturises your lips.

Don't use patroleum jelly because it is not actually a moisturizer, it only seals the moisture in. First you should exfoliate your lips with a washcloth in the shower (so your lips soften from the warm water.) Then pick a lip balm that is non-drying. I recommend Burts Bees, it just works the best for me. As for the lip gloss thing, I don't think you should use lip gloss for dried lips. If my lips are dry, a put a layer of lip balm (blistex is good for this) before applying the lipgloss. It makes it so much easier to apply.

put regular vasaline on before you go to sleep every night and try Burt's Bee's chapstick. Not all chapsticks work. Usually they work better if there more expensive. Also, a lot of lip glosses will make your lips more chapped. Look for kind that doesn't last long. It may be a pain in the butt to keep reapplying but it will keep sinking into your lips and moisturizing them.

I had the same issue and then I came upon Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm - It is the best lip balm I have ever bought. It works great for me especially now since I live in CT. You should try it because I also got my mom hooked too! Here is the website: http://www.burtsbees.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10751&storeId=10101&productId=16459&langId=-1&categoryId=&showSubCategory=yes
It is little more expensive than most chapstick but it is well worth it - also lasts longer. Hope this works for you. Not sure where you live bit they sell it at most drug stores like CVS, Walgreens even GNC and some grocery stores and many health food stores!

Use a sparkling toothbrush and gently scrub your lips with Vaseline. That works fairly properly. also keep on with Burt's Bee's lip balm sevral situations an afternoon. i tried many different manufacturers of lip balm yet i imagine that one works the most suitable. And it has a outstanding tingly feeling once you retain on with it.

Well I always use Chapstick even though i have to keep reapplying it, it is really good. You're not going to find one that will last 24 hours because so many things can take it off. You could probably try Vaseline that's really good and your lips get really glossy.
