I am auditioning for Capt. Hook in an upcoming production of Peter Pan (the non-musical version). Any suggestions? I am 19 but my age range plays from 18-25/26, which is why I am auditioning for Hook.

Let me know!

Hmm... Something from The Man of La Mancha, perhaps?

Here are some:

-Aye, that it would, Mr Smee. But I have given me word not to lay a finger, or a hook, on Peter Pan. And Captain Hook never breaks a promise.

-"Good form," Mr Smee? Blast good form!

-Aye! But throwing it to the crocodile! That cursed beast liked the taste of me so well he's followed me ever since, licking his chops for the rest of me.

-I'll get you for this, Pan, if it's the last thing I do!

-Ha-ha-ha! You wouldn't dare fight old Hook man-to-man. You'd fly away like a cowardly sparrow!

-You wouldn't do old Hook in now, would you, lad? I'll go away forever. I'll do anything you say.

-A jealous female can be tricked into anything.

Depends on what you want to show off. If your showing off your humorous side "Instructions to the Audience" by Bruce Kane is a great piece. If its the sad dramatic side you want to show off you can never go wrong with Shakespeare. But if you want to show that you can play a young part try to find Brighton Beach Memoirs and use one of Eugene's monologues.
