For heaven's sake, bread was not invented by the Persians. No one group "invented" bread. People have been eating various forms of bread all over the world for thousands of years, going back to the stone age, where grains were crushed to form solid unleavened cakes. Food historians generally believe, however, that Egyptians were the first to use yeast to leaven bread.

As for pizza, the form of traditional pizza as we know it today, with tomatoes and cheese, was invented in Naples, Italy in the 16th century, with tomatoes brought back from the New World. Pizza is an Italian word. But if you consider any type of flat bread with some kind of topping to be "pizza", then many other cultures can claim to have invented "pizza". And yes, even the Chinese have a type of bread with topping, but it's not really pizza, again, "pizza" is Italian, so what they have is something else.

Yes, both of you are wrong.
The bread was invented by the Persians, and the Pizza by the Greeks. After that the smart Italians took over and make them more exquisite! By the way the largest pizza ever baked was one measuring 100 ft 1 in in diameter, it was made by Lorenzo Amato of Cafe Di Lorenzo, Tallahassee, Fla, in cooperation with Louis Piancone, President of Roma food Enterprises. The Pizza was cut into 94,248 slices and consume by the
30, 000 spectators at the baking in Havana Fla.
