For heaven's sake, bread was not invented by the Persians. No one group "invented" bread. Pizza is an Italian word. But if you consider any type of flat bread with some kind of topping to be "pizza", then many other cultures can claim to have invented "pizza". And yes, even the Chinese have a type of bread with topping, but it's not really pizza, again, "pizza" is Italian, so what they have is something else.
