you don't ...that is genetic. You could get a perm, but why bother?

A really, really good cut does wonders. I'm female, and I kept my straight, fine hair long for years. One hot summer day I couldn't stand it anymore and had it cut medium short (for a woman), with lots of layers, and within a few days I had a bit of waviness on the ends, for the first time ever. Now I tell the person cutting my hair that I want it to wave a little. I just towel dry it and let it dry naturally -- no gel, no blow dry. When it was long I'd only have waves if I braided it wet, and even then it didn't last long.

Good luck!

Well I'm the product of a barber and a cosmetologist and have pretty much spent my life answering questions like this.

If your hair is naturally straight it'll be a bit easier to make it wavy.If you don't want to put chemicals in it you could (i know it sounds silly) use curlers.Put them in at night while your hair is wet.Make sure to put something on top of your hair like a bandanna or a tighter shower cap so the curlers don't come out before you wake. I've figured out that if you put in leave in conditioner in your hair before you put in the curlers on your "do" will last longer the next day. When your ready to do your hair in the morning make sure to use a comb (using a brush will make it frizzy).Style and you'll look great for the day.To make sure your hair doesn't loose it's wave use just a touch of hairspray (not the spritz kind).

Good Luck and God bless.
