there is normally a procedure that you have to have both key fobs in the vehicle with you and press this button while doing that and such madness. what type of vehicle is it?

Maybe you should reset the one that doesn't work. Check ebay for Installation instructions. Or you can get a dealer to reset it.

You have to re program it. Depending on the vehicle, the proceedure is different. You may have to take it to a dealer.

reprogram the one that doesn't work. The directions should be in the owners manual.
