The photo has glare reflecting off of picture framing glass and you see a bright circle from the flash showing within the picture.

Theres no advnaced physics to it, glass reflects light - the light coming off the surface received by the camera. If you are asking why glass reflects light, it is because of impurities.

Could you describe that in more detail? Also what type of glass is that? Picture framing glass come in different treatments that cause light waves to react differently.
