I have to say the Ducks. The core of their team got playoff experience last year, their goaltending is phenomenal with Giguere and Bryzgalov proved last year he can step up when needed. Their defense is rock solid with Pronger, Niedermayer, Beauchamin and O'Donnell. They can get goal scoring from Selanne, McDonald, Getzlaf, Perry, Penner, and Kunitz. If they can stay out of the box, they've got a good shot.

Plus, I've been a Ducks fan from day one, how could I not vote for my team?

Well it'll probably be another Northwest division vs Southeast division final just like the last 2 years so I'm gonna have to go with Florida over Colorado in 7 games. :P Now if that freaky prediction comes true... I'll crap myself :)

Seriously though.. almost any team can surprise and I think the race is pretty wide open.

Favorites in the East for me are Buffalo, Ottawa, new Jersey and Pittsburgh.

In the West it's Nashville, Detroit, Anaheim, Calgary and San Jose.

Money would be on Nashville over Buffalo in 7 games... but I think it will be another season of upsets. Long shot dark horses upset teams could be Minnesota in the West and NYI in the East.

I would say the Vancouver Canucks. Right now they are one of the most kept secrets of the NHL. The playoff experience is there (Markus Naslund, Breddan Morrisson, and Trevor Linden). The team is well balanced- meaning there is no superstar to shut down or line to shut down. Unlike years before, they take you on with a four lines that can attack or play defense.
And of course the goalie is there. Yes it is true Roberto Luongo has never played in the playoffs before, but have to remember that he has played in international events so that gives him experience.
Finally after that I think Calgary, Buffalo, Nashville, or Detroit would also have a good go at the Cup.

San Jose Sharks.

They have a solid team with one of the best powerplays and one of the best 1-2 punch players in Marleau and Thornton. They have 2 starting goaltenders in Nabby and Vesa. They have depth, youth and size. They upgraded their defense by adding experience and leadership with Craig Rivet. They also now have another awesome winger in Bill Guerin to add to their arsenal of attacks! They are on a small winning streak right now, and will put it all together and make a run for the division lead real soon.

I'm going to say Detroit for one reason: Playoff experience. They ALWAYS make the playoffs, and they have a terrific team. If Buffalo had a little more experience, I would pick them.
