Soldiers come in all shapes, shades, weights, sizes, and states of sobriety, misery, and confusion. He is sly as a fox, has the nerve of a dope addict, the stories of an old sailor, the sincerity of a politician, and the subtly of Mt. Saint Helen. He is extremely irresistible, totally irrational and completely indestructible.

I agree with some of your rhetoric.

Soldiers are heroes. They put their lives on the line for us.

For that, I'll always be grateful.

I served in the military, but only in a support role. I did get a good feel for how the military works and how it can be improved.

But, I think that you are trying to create an idolized version of a good, but flawed soldier.

That's a good thing and I applaud you for that.

I would personally clean up the text a little. I'd take out the references to dope addicts and magical figures.

But, you made your point. A soldier is an ordinary guy doing a tough job and doing it well.

Propaganda. My son just got out of the Air Force. He is a great man....but he can tell you that the service is not the way to go. And gullible people who fall for the rhetoric written above learn better once they've realized the truth of it all. Why do you think they push so hard for enlistees? It's not because there are only 'a few good men".

I luv the way itis written but i would never become a "soldier" nor would i want any of my family members to consider it..
