depending on the circumstance at the time,other than that it's a equal partnership, showing respect for each other & if the wife work's the husband needs to help inside the house also,if she does not work an outside job, then it's the wife responsilitiy to takecare of the house,cooking cleaning ,laundry,taking care of the kids while he is at work after that it's his job to help with the kids, if any.but it still don't hurt to help out either way.So it's a draw, Ive been married for almost 14 years we've had our fusses and fight's that's part of it thru the good times and the bad you get married it's for real, it's not a game it's for life, till death do us part.who rules the house talk it over with each other you agree or disagree till you do agree after all your as one in God's eye.God took a rib from adam and created eve because he saw that adam was lonely,it was one in the beging now marriage has made you a whole, one again as husband and wife, good luck I wish you both a happy marriage for yr's to come.dig in and don't give up!

Girlldragon76, Anon and some other have it pegged. The whole thing is run by the wife from top to bottom and I'm not just talking chores.
A really good wife though has the husband and everyone convinced he's in charge.

Usually the wife since she is the one who is in the house cleaning it, caring for it, taking care of the family in it -- normally a woman is in a home more than a man unless she works longer hours... and many men don't want to be bothered by details such as helping kids with cleaning their room or organizing kitchen cupboards - so let's face it, the woman has to stay on top of stuff and therefore she is ruling the roost (the house).
