I always line my lips lips first apply a coat of lipstick and blot with tissue first, then you can apply a coat of loose powder with a brush and another coat of lipstick. It will last a lot longer.

You can use a lip pencil just as you would to line your lips, but then also use it to fill in your lips (as if you were using it as lipstick). That will give your lipstick something more to adhere to so it will stay on longer, and when it does come off some, you still have the color of the lip pencil underneath. It's just a matter of choosing a pencil that is the right color...I would say either similar to the lipstick you're using, or neutral. Hope this helps.

I use Bare Minerals, and I put a tissue over my freshly applied lipstick and then brush lightly with Mineral Vail. Works Great!

I've heard that some people rub an ice cube on their mouth to harden the lipstick. I've never done it, so I don't know if it works or not.

Boots (UK) sell something called Lipcote for 3.25. Its a clear liquid and you brush it onto your lips to seal the lipstick.
