Have you seen Al Gore's "An Inconvienant Truth"? What do you do to help slow down global warming?
Global warming, to me, is a serious crisis that is occuring right now in the world. It is our duty as human beings to slow down the process of the earth heating up.
(If you don't believe that it is currently a problem.) Could it really hurt us so bad to convert to renewable resources instead of wasting our NONrenewable resources? We'll run out someday anyway. Then what will we do? It'll be too late to use renewable resources once we run out of nonrenewable resources to manufacture the first factories to use renewable resources as a new main source power.
So, now a question to those who don't think global warming exists:
Should we go on wasting our Nonrenewable resources? Or should we convert to renewable resources?

Joe K, if you do not believe in global warming, you could have at least tRiED to answer the last two questions.
Seriously, what does a person have to do here to get some intelligent answers?

jonah-nine, I am sorry, however, I cannot understand your answer. Do you or do you not think global warming is an existent problem in the world? You're a bit confusing. Lol, =).

Drag_The_Waters, you did not answer any of my questions. Therefore, I do not understand as to why you are here. You provided no evidence to support your claim that global warming is a non-existent problem.
It seems as though I will have to wait a while for a person who will actually aNswER my questions.

Chris, I thank you for providing evidence instead of making a bold statement without supporting data. Al Gore’s movie does not say that we are the only cause for global warming. There are other causes such as volcanoes, cattle, etc. However, we are the main contributor to the problem. Al Gore does touch upon your numerous warming and cooling trends. He provides a chart that shows us the warming and cooling periods that have occurred through time and compares them to what is going on now. If you saw the chart, you could tell that there is a rather large difference. Since the 1970s, the carbon dioxide levels have shot up to enormously high levels. I am aware of the scientists who study glaciers in Antarctica. I am also aware that those are the scientists who are warning us of global warming, claiming that this is happening.

As to the problem with Nonrenewable and Renewable resources, who are the people who are making these outrageous prices? I believe that we should all work together to lower these prices and promote a more common use of renewable resources. But then again, since when has the world been in that much harmony?

P.S. I do not intend to bash your beliefs, only challenge them and debate with you. =) That is why it upsets me to see people just making bold statements and not providing any supporting evidence.

"The Center for Policy Research is a non-profit corporation established in 1981 to work with public and private sector service providers to conduct research to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of human service agencies, and the justice, health and education systems. "
I checked out the website, but I didn't find anything on Al Gore. Also, he has to fly around the world to spread the word on global warming. Maybe he wouldn't have to if we all were trying to do something about the current problem. Yes, some people are taking action, however, some people is not enough. We all must take action.

Oops. The previous quote is from the centerforpolicyresearch.org website. It seems its primary focus is on child abuse.

No, I believe we should stop wasting our Nonrenewable resources.
Really, though, do people even look at the websites you suggested them to? It's like they just answer with their assumption that: "Global warming is a situation that does not exist."
They should watch Al Gore's movie. Perhaps then they will snap out of it. Or perhaps they will continue to contribute to global warming, condemning our posterity.

Please read my whole argument if you intend to bash upon me for my views in this argument.
When you look at the whole "Global Warming" issue from Al Gore's standpoint (i.e. An Inconvenient Truth) we see this issue as catastrophic. We see that this whole deal is humanity's fault. However, when looked at from a historical and archaeological standpoint (I am a historian furthering my studies in Archeology)
the Earth has gone through numerous warming and cooling trends throughout its life. Scientists look at ice core samples from Antarctica and the numerous glaciers left on our planet and have been able to decipher when these trends took place in history; just google earth warming trends and you can take a look at the data yourself. These trends were going on long before humans came to be and they will continue on well after we die off (should that happen before the world ends). Looking at other scientific data, volcanic eruptions, which happen rather frequently (Hawaii and the Pacific Ring) put out more "Greenhouse gasses" than emissions from cars, cities, etc. There are over 1500 active volcanoes on the surface of our planet and an estimated 10,000 underwater.
While I believe that global warming is a cyclical trend, I will not deny that we as humans have helped to accelerate this particual warming trend, though, in my mind, not enough to make an argument that we are the sole reason for it as some "greens" would have you believe.
As for the wasting of our nonrenewable resources, yes, this is a problem. But, unfortunately, it is very costly to shy away from using these resources. The cost of solar energy is mind numbing when you look at the price per kWh (Kilowatt hour) obtained by it. I for one, don't want to pay the premium for that kind of energy until we have a foolproof way of obtaining it. Mirrors on the collecting farm can chip, the sun isn't always constant (overcast skies/night) and this will be factored into the cost as well.
The only "Clean" energy source that is cost effective is wind power, but that has its limitations too. You have to have a lot of turbines; $. You have to put the wind farms up in a place that gets a high frequency of wind blowing through it. So it is a fairly unpredictable resource.
This is one thing I would like to see change, though.

I am going to call on Al Gore to stop flying on private jets that kill the ozone layer. Also he could buy a hybrid car instead of his limo. And also ask him to stop lying about all his family dose to reduce there energy use. His electric bill last month was $1200. What a hypocrite.

I will do nothing because human-induced global warming is a myth.
Response: You did not read my answer idiot. I never said global warming was non-existant. You're simply asking the wrong question. The correct question is what is the REAL cause of global warming. The answer is not us humans.
