I am trying to find a film festival that a 14 year old could enter and have a decent chance at winning a prize for it. It would help a lot if it was in Syracuse New York or somewhere close to that. I would need to enter it by next year. I am filming the movie this summer and hope to have it done by October of 2007. So by December or January I would like to have it all produced and everything. So if the contest was in the spring March or April that would be really great!! Thanks in advance and please no sarcastic answers.

Again stop it with the youtube. I'm not allowed to use it so just drop it. I'm looking for a real film festival so unless you actually know a place that has a film festival then don't answer.

whoops, i meant to say if you actually know a place that does that then answer if you're going to say a website where I have to give out personal info for an online contest of youtube or something else like that don't answer.

I would say YouTube would definately be the way to go, as they have all sorts of opportunities to get noticed, but you said your parents don't want you to do that. Why? YouTube is closely moderated to filter out everything bad except the occasional negative comment. I don't know any film festivals like your talking about, but YouTube's potential to make one popular is tremendous. Try and convince your parents.
