What was the most interesting persuasive speech topic you ever chose?

The most interesting topic I've ever chosen was the current English-only movement in the United States. It's fairly original -- nobody else I knew did it -- and I found it pretty interesting. I was actually fairly neutral going into the project, but I ended up forming a strong opinion after I finished my research, and learned more than expected about the government and it's linguistic laws.
