well honestly that don't sound good that you need her to clean up and stuff like that. Hey if she is doing so good an in school she should get the support that she needs to continue with her studies and think about it. How many kids her age get this opportunity? It seems to me that you just need a maid at home to do the things you cant do. The dad should decide not you. If it was my daughter I would be so proud that she is getting this opportunity and even if she was my stepdaughter cause I have one too, but I really care for her future and you are only caring about who would clean the house for you. That's not right. shame on you

She's your stepdaughter and you are sounding like the wicked stepmother in this fairy tale! If you withdrew her from her boarding school, she is going to have a lot more freedom in a public school and more distractions. I wouldn't be surprised if her grades didn't slip, despite the schoolwork being easier. I don't understand the boyfriend story but I'd try to get her father on the same page with you . You are going to have a lot more to worry about (France probably isn't a good idea but the boarding school is probably a secure place for a smart 16 year old....)

You did not have to say it...she is clearly you stepdaughter. A Mom will not even talk like that about her child. If you want her to clean...it will be much cheaper to keep her boyfriend, pay him $6,000 and have come over and clean, and the let the girl go....you might enjoy her b/f as it sounds that both of you have the same personality.
I am so sorry, I hate to say things like that ....but you sounded so mean...giving Step Moms a bad taste.

This is hilarious.. I think this chick is totally lying!! Although step moms can be mean.. believe me I know I have one... and when I was a young teen all the way up to my 20's I felt like a maid! Now I live 10 hrs away and I am 25.
Please don't treat your step daughter like that... even though you may not be able to tell it right now.. she will have some sort of low self esteem.

I think that you have had you chance at life now its time for her to live hers. Have you asked her if she wants to go to this school? Or do do want her around for your own selfish reasons. Remember knowledge is power. If you got yours please let her get hers. Sometime we try to hold on to much and that can cause them to rebel and resent. Talk to her, listen to her, and let it be her decision to continue or discontinue. Oh and that thing with the 6 grand that was terrible. Always remember, and I quote "Do unto other as you would have them do unto you. And don't forget you reap what you sow.
