I found out the sex of my baby at 13 weeks and 5 days. The fetuses genetalia is developed by week 12.
19 weeks should be a good time to see the sex as long as the baby cooperates.

Yes, at 19 weeks they should be able to tell. I am pregnant with twins and I found out Baby A at 16 weeks and Baby B at 19 weeks. Good Luck!!

With my first two we knew right at 19-20 weeks, they were both boys and easy to spot, my fourth they did a special ultrasound since my hubby was going to Iraq, and we saw he was a boy at about 14-15 weeks. These two are girls and they spotted them at 19 weeks and were pretty positive on one and one hundred percent on the other. I just had another done at 21 and a half weeks and they confirmed with no problem. You are right, girls are much harder to see and easily mistaken. Good luck.

I had an ultrasound at 19 weeks and they said it was too early to tell with any kind of confidence, and they certainly didn't want to tell me the wrong thing.
My advice? Get everything in yellow and green. Save the pink and blue for after the baby gets here, just to make sure. Ultrasounds can be wrong, too.

I was told they can tell after 18 weeks.
Here's the key and everyone I know that has done this has found out. Drink a huge glass of orange juice about an hour prior to your ultrasound. Just trust me on this one.

The only accurate way of finding the baby's sex is through Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) test, amniocentisis which is done only when through ultrasound they suspect some abnormality on your fetus. Ultrasounds not very reliable sometimes, unless if you have that newtech ones which you can see your baby in a coloured pic screen...it depends on how your baby's positioned in your tummy that day will be....
