well downloading off of limewire is free, and i would have her look at this chart http://primalarena.com/ipod%20vs%20wolverine.html the wolverine mvp is probably the best mp3 player on the market right now if u do not mind the size, dont listen to proffesional reviews that tell u it sucks when the only negative that they have is the size and then they give ipods like 20 negatives and still give it a 9 out of 10 rating, listen to the customer reviews, and it has the most features, the most compatability, the most playable formats, and once again, the only really bad thing about it is the size and they dont make u buy all of the accessories like other brands, because everything except a car charger and a charger that uses AA batterys is included with it, trust me, its unknown, but if u tried it, u would love it.
if your mom has any questions, email me at dbzgtfreek@yahoo.com and i will give u a thurough answer so i can help u buy the mp3 player that is right for u, which might be the wolverine, or it might be a zen or archos, there are so many good ones out there, dont settle for an ipod.

Explain to her that mp3's are nice because they save alot of space. Thats extremely important considering how massive media files are. You wouldnt believe how much space music and video files take up on your computers hard drive. With an mp3, the music is compressed into a file that is much much smaller, allowing you to add alot of music to your computer without taking up too much space, and possibly affecting the speed and/or performance. Now...even better, with an mp3 player, you can put all the songs into that player device, and remove them from your computer to save even more space. If you have a CD burner, its a good idea to back them up on a disc ,cause you never know. As far as places to go to get music, there are a couple of free places, but that is risky. When you go to those free sites, you run a risk of downloading a viruses and spyware. I believe most of the pay sites average about 10- 20 a month. a few examples are Itunes, Rhapsody, Napster etc. Those sites are trustable, and a not too expensive way to get great music. Thats probably the most important point to stress to your mom : THE PRICE!! You will save alot of money from not having to buy CD's all the time. However, she may not like the initial high price of buying the mp3 player, so just keep reminding her, it will be a great investment in the end. (now, whether it is or isnt is besides the point). Mom is the one who needs to be convinced, so go start talking about the awesome, greatness of mp3 players!! good luck

you can download song from anywhere. but remember if its free it illegal. you can pay 20 for limewire to get a year free of downloads. depending on which mp3 you buy like ipod, creative(which i recommend), samsung, sony. etc...
each one will have a different and simple way of downloading the songs into the player itself.
some wont even need program you just drag and drop into the folders. you must connect the usb cable that comes with it from the player to the computer. hope this helps you! nofx_bryan for anymore info on yahoo hit me up
