1) The pKa of vitamin c (ascorbic acid) is 4.17. Could we determine the amount if vitamin C in orange juice by acid-base titration? Why or why not?
2) Could we determine the amount of vitamin C in a vitamin C tablet by acid-base titration. Why or why not?
3) Based on the stoichiometry given in equations 1 and 2, what do you expect the titer value of a .01000 M KIO3 solution to be?
[ titer = mg ASCORBIC ACID / mL of KIO3 ]

For # 3, that was exactly how the question was with no equations 1 or 2 either...so i guess the teacher made a mistake. sorry
And for # 1 and 2, I actually tried doing it myself first but got confused.
I actually do try to do my homework first and then get help, unlike many other people, but thanks for helping anyway.

This is actually a pre-lab so I can never find out how to do it in the lab book so I actually have to research this online.
