The only way is to rely on someone's good will.
I dont own an ipod, but on my mp3 you can say "who owns the mp3" i.e you type your name onto your mp3. If you did this, it may be handed in.

Most probably, it will be found and kept im afraid.

but if they were greedy they would keep it u noe.

or u can give up and listen 2 the radio or download songs on ur computer
