Home pregnancy tests, whether digital or not, look for a hormone that's only present when you're pregnant, or when you take certain very specific fertility drugs (and if you were taking one of those drugs, your doctor would probably tell you to come in for a blood test rather than using a home pregnancy test.) It's possible to have a false negative, because there isn't enough hormone in your urine to measure on the test, but a false positive is pretty well impossible.

No test is 100% accurate, however if it says pregnant you are pregnant as you cannot get a false positive, meaning the Hcg hormone which is what the test detects can only be present in pregnancy, it is possible however to have done the test too early or when there is little hormone produced which would show a false negative, actually being pregnant while test says no. So if says Pregnant you definatley are:o)

actually digital tests are more likely to give false positives than any other type of test, however the chances of it doing so are low. any test can give a false negative if you test too early and your hormone levels are too low. if you are unsure take a second test, you dont need to spend a fortune, you can get them from places like bodycare, poundland and dollar tree, if you dont want to use one this cheap you can get supermarket and chemist own brands for a couple of quid!
good luck, hope you get the answer you want.

I think they are about as accurate as the regular test. So, about 0.1% wrong.
They CAN give false positives (although false negatives are more likely)
There have even been incidences of MEN testing positive - some testicular disorders (cancer etc) can occasionally cause the production of the HcG

I have heard reports of digital tests giving false positives. Try another brand if you are not sure.

normally if it's wrong it's a false negative. I got 3 false negatives with my son before I got a positive (well 2, I didn't want to take any chances)

I got a positive right away with this pregnancy.

If it says you are not, then you could be, if it says you are, then YOU ARE PREGNANT. Believe it Debbie you ARE PREGNANT.
