LOL. Love the Sound of Music, and as I was a nun in a local production I know all the words of the songs and script. That being said, I've never really taken the time to think through the meaning of the words, so I did a little bit of word searching on dictionary.com.
flibbertigibbet = a chattering or flighty, light-headed person
will-'o-the-wisp = anything that deludes or misleads by luring on
With those definitions in mind, hard to say that any really fit me. What a choice. Is this a Catch-22 question? I guess if I had to choose one, I'd pick flibbertigibbet because as times (esp after a few drinks), I suppose that could describe me.
And, didn't realize there was a problem like Debbie. But, I guess the way to solve my problems is through laughter & happy times.

Flibbertigibbet! I love that word and like to use it. =0) I heard a woman say it on the radio years ago and have never met anyone who was familiar with it. Until now, that is.
I'm a bit of a flibbertigibbet at times. I don't know what to do about it. I wish I were more of a clown.

I like to think I am whichever one I need to be in a particular situation.
It has been my experience that playing "dumb" can really get me service most places. Stupid works especially if you can convince the person giving service that you are sweet and innocent.
Will-o'-wisp works in conversations when I want to learn all aspects of a situation.
Clowning will defuse most any volatile situation. I use it quite often in crisis situations with my clients.
How do I solve aproblem like me---who said I was a problem?

I used to be so scared of clowns when I was a kid. I had this clown shoe holder on the wall of my bedroom, when I was a kid. I also had a clown bank where you put the money in its hand, push a lever, it ate the money and its eyes rolled back in its head. I was scared they would come to life if I fell asleep. Every time my parents took us to a parade and a clown came up to give me candy I would scream bloody murder. They don't really scare me anymore, but they are a little creepy.
