-highschool Prom with tight budget

I'm not in high schoo, but if I were I'd prefer something simple. Maybe some candles in nice looking candle holders. A cool trick with candles in clear/semi-clear holders is that if you put them on top of a mirror(or mirror glass)is that they reflect beautifully. You can find cndles and holders at a local $1 store, or just about anywhere these days. You could probably find mirror glass at any hardware store, or mirror panels at IKEA if you have one near by. It's great because people can sit and talk to eachother at the table without a gigantic centerpiece in the way. Or, try a small basket filled with copies of pictures from passed high school events. The guests at the prom will enjoy reminicing, laughing and talking. It's affordable, and it's fun, plus the guests can keep the pictures.

Remembering my high school prom, a good centerpiece would have been an escape hatch in the ground. Not a fun time. :(
