To me, of those 3 you mentioned, happiness would have to be the key! As money very rarely buys happiness (it just leaves people wanting even more), I can't see that it's a good measure of success! If however someone wanted to be a rocket scientist, worked really really hard to get there, acheived good grades, acheived their position and were ecstatic about their situation then this would be a good example of success. Conversely, if a young man was pressured by his parents to become a neurosurgeon but didn't really want to be one, worked hard through his academic years but against his will, having been taught by his family that a well paid, high status job equals success and then gets there but is really unhappy, then this can't be seen as success. Basically I think that if you follow your own dream, do the right thing by other people, work hard in every aspect of your life and acheive happiness in love, work, friendships, travel etc, then this is real success.

Just in general I measure my sucess by my own standard. This applies to all areas because I may be doing great in my career but my relationships suffering. It is a kind of balance and I guess my overall sucess would be a measure of how well I maintained that balance. I also don't pay too much attention to what other people think. If have given it my all, then I consider it a successful venture.

Strangely I have all 3. Health means I can be happy. The money is just icing on the cake.

by the well being and relationships I have developed with my family, friends and how I respect and look after the environment/animals. Success is not about money - god that would be an extremely short-sighted view of life if it's just to get more and more stuff!!!

I think it's different for each individual. I measure it if you've reached a goal, and you feel good about it.. that is success to me.
