Hi, Ryan. How are you today? I hope fine. Not to worry about upgrading your computer so it can get faster. I've came up with a better idea for you, especially since your budget is not so full.

Note that I am a trained Dell Tech.

Upgrading an old computer costs more money than to buy a brand new computer. That is correct, so I would suggested you to buy a brand new computer...

Upgrading the CPU is unwise, because CPU upgrade cost from $400 up. That could buy you a brand new computer and still leave change in your pocket... Shop at Dell, where you can get a desktop for only $359

The bike you always see in this sort of concern is a BMW GS variety. They began making those in the Nineteen 1880s and that they have been very familiar ever considering the fact that. that is an on/off highway variety with long suspension return and forth and brackets to guard against rocks flying up from the line, and so on. in the previous days (the 80s) they made an 'airhead' GS, this is the previous air-cooled flat twin. in the 90s they discontinued the airhead and started making the 'oilhead', a extra complicated, extra 'modern-day' flat twin variety that had oil-cooled heads. The later variety is extra useful yet additionally lots heavier. there are countless the two one among those fashions obtainable used, and as quickly as they're in sturdy situation they're completely reliable, just about bulletproof. there grew to become into an F650 GS, a single-cylinder 'get admission to point' bike, yet i think of which would be too small.

Go to your computer manufacturer's website, find your PC (probably somewhere in the past models area) and see what kind of motherboard you have. Then, go to that manufacturer's website and find out the maximum kind of processor/RAM you can apply to it. Then, you can probably purchase the items cheap on eBay and have someone you know who is computer savvy to install it. If you don't know anyone, just take it to BestBuy or CircuitCity. You may also need a new hard drive. Go to Microsoft's website (www.microsoft.com) to find out the hardware requirements for XP before you go out and buy all this stuff. It might turn out your computer can't handle it at all, but it's highly unlikely.

I would leave 98 on it and save up until you can afford a new motherboard processor and memory combo. You can get a complete pc for around 300 that will be allot faster than what you have. You could always turn it into a linux box if you are wanting to speed it up.
