Its because only on the internet that us lowly, unimportant, passive, inferior beings feel we may dare to pretend to be something we are not and dream for a day. We, the female race, feel secure on the internet to play pretend that we are important and knowledgable because we can annoymously make comments without getting the deserved beating we would receive should we make such comments in every day life. please humour us in our little fantasy escapism.........

Firstly, I've seen both women and men posting on internet forums who are totally full of themselves. Being an arrogant, conceited twirp knows no gender.

Secondly, how do you know how these particular women act in their everyday lives unless you have actually met them?

I'm sure some of these women are more quiet and reserved in everyday life and others just as bolshy and loud mouthed as they are on-line.

Are you for real? Or are you trying to stir things up just for fun?

Yahoo Answer is set up so people (men and women) are able to provide advice based on real life experiences and education. A person's gender should not make any difference.

If you display that attitude at work--be prepared to pay money for a lawyer. Start saving--it will not be cheap!

If you are in a relationship--pass on my advice to your doormat girlfriend: "Run baby run. You need to find someone who will respect you!"

What are you talking about?

Actually I have come across alot of young girls who think that because they turned a very ugly 49 year old man's head that means they are the next Elizabeth Taylor.

On this site the amount of girls saying 'I am beautiful what do you think?' or 'why are people jealous of me? ' That is embarrassing. They are clearly off their rockers same as the guy who thought he was Paul Newman saying 'I bet if I spent one minute in a room with a straight man I guarantee you he will come out gay' We all know they look like pure pugs when they have to come out with supremo bullceeto like that!!

Girls are very strange creatires, who solely live off the attentions a man can give them, they will fight and squablle about which one of them the 49 year old man was looking at! Seriously, don't they care about what looks at them. I would get on the site maybe if I pulled the young Marlon Brando, no not even then!!

It's because of the perceived anonymity of the internet.

On-line, you can pretend to be something you're not. Many women pretend to be sophisticated and intelligent, whereas in real life, they are ugly chavettes with zero prospects.

This particularly applies to the colonists in the New World.

Personally speaking I'm only 'full of myself' when I Actually do know what I'm talking about!!!!
I'm also old enough to 'know my place' it's at the top of the tree above the ignorant males who think they are living in the 1st century BC

why do men insist on bringing up the old age 'don;t they know their place' etc when obviously an intelligent person who happened to be a woman has kicked his *** in a discussion?

Shut up! you're interrupting my fantasy. In real life, I am a victim of gravity. On the internet, I am a superior amazon. Who does the mambo.
