During the winter, I took a tumbling class for ages 6 thru 12, and learned how to do a cartwheel and to fall into a backbend. It was pretty embarassing to be the oldest person there by like three years. Anyways, I didn't take that class again for the wintes session, because I am already taking four dance classes, and it was just too much. I kinda taught myself to do a handstand and then fall foward on my butt. I can't seem to fall into a bridge. Also, how can I teach myself to do a back walkover? I figured out how to lift one of my legs up without falling over. LOL. Okay, well, thanks.

Front Walkover:
Kick up into a handstand, but go too far so you tip, then bend your knees as you fall so you land in a bridge. Then stand up from the bridge.

Back Walkover:
Do a back bend so you are in a bridge. Then lift one leg up and act like you are trying to kick your chin. (You won't actually, but it's a good mental picture.) This will tip you back, and then lift up your other leg as you straighten both. You wil kind of go up into a handstand, and then just kick out of it.

While you are going back you have to be pulling your leg back at the same time. Otherwise it is choppy and MUCH harder to get over. Start with your leg up (make sure you have your balance), its easier.
When first practicing, do it on a mattress or better, a trampoline.
Make sure you KEEP YOUR ARMS OVER YOUR HEAD. Many give out and then PLOP on your head and it hurts!
Have someone spot you first, arching your back.
Make sure you have your bridge first, or trying to do a back walk over is crazy! Practice your back bends a lot. In time they won't seem as hard, you just have to practice with a spotter the first few times. If you can't do back into the bridge, just bridge up starting from your feet and hands. After practice you will learn to strengthen and control your back to be able to perform backbends.

Good luck!

bridge:
when u do the bridge have someone help you
the person just has to put their arm behind your back (the place it curves when you are in the bridge position) so when u do it, dont be afraid to go down because someone is holding you
also your head and eyes go with your hand dont look to the front in when u do it. look at your hands

when you flip you can also have someone help but you have to be careful
have like a soft pad under you
when doing a back walkover you have to look past your hands and at your feet the whole time ( at least at the beginning until your cannot your your feet anymore) this will help you flip over
also you have to kick your feet hard
