How long ago was it? I will tell you that it will probably be very difficult. Your first hurdle will be acceptance into a nursing school. If you get accepted then you graduate and take boards and are licensed you will probably be on a probationary license for a long time and have to submit to drug testing. You can find out by contact the Board of Nursing in your state. Just tell them exactly what happened and when. You can even give them a fictitious name(I wouldn't since you are being honest any way about the whole thing.) Were you using or distributing. I think that would make a huge difference. If you were young and using then they would probably be able to get past that. If you were distrbuting with intent to sell they might be more concerned about that.

Contact the Board of Nursing under state licensing in your state and ask if a drug conviction precludes becoming an LPN or RN.

Maybe, because there are numerous cases of doctors and nurses, and other health care workers being addicted to narcotics, and are still at their jobs after rehab. Check into this, maybe all is NOT lost for you.

I'm pretty sure that depends on the state.
